• Seeking a Hadoop Developer with Kafka and Flume experience

Requirements:

• Mandatory Technical Skills:
• Experience in real time streaming Kafka, Flume
• Experience in No SQL Technologies ( Cassandra )
• Extensive knowledge of Hadoop stack and storage technologies HDFS, MapReduce, Yarn, HBASE, HIVE, sqoop, Impala , spark and oozie
• Extensive Knowledge on Bigdata Enterprise architecture (Cloudera preferred)
• Knowledge of JAVA/J2EE
• Experience in Datawarehouse concepts
• Must have experience in big data application for Banking or Financials Organization
• Good To have
• Experience with Big Data Analytics & Business Intelligence and Industry standard tools integrated with Hadoop ecosystem. (R, Python )
• Visual Analytics Tools knowledge ( Tableau )
• Data Integration, Data Security on Hadoop ecosystem. (Kerberos)
• Awareness or experience with Data Lake with Cloudera ecosystem
• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering
• 10+ year of Industry experience
• Minimum 3+ years of Big Data experience
• Experience in developing real time streaming applications using Flume and kafka
• Experience in working different file formats including parquet and Avro
• Benchmark systems, analyze system bottlenecks, and propose solutions to eliminate them
• Develop highly scalable and extensible Big Data platform, which enables collection, storage, modeling, and analysis of massive data sets from numerous channels
• Continuously evaluate new technologies, innovate and deliver solution for business critical applications
• Hadoop real time streaming – Kafka, Flume
• Cloudera Hadoop – Hive, Impala, Spark, HDFS
• Experience in Agile, Cassandra, sqoop, oozie
• Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities, Activities and Accountabilities:

·         Work with the software team and our internal and external customers to develop product functional specifications and technical designs for CPS software products used in the cash processing industry.

·         Assume responsibility for the technical aspect of assigned firmware projects.

·         Review customer requirements and estimate implementation time.

·         Design and develop firmware for high speed document sorters.

·         Develop and execute robust testing and validation procedures.

·         Ability to travel (domestically and internationally) up to 30% of the time.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

Technical

·         Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

·         Minimum of ten years relevant firmware engineering experience.

·         Experience in the use of communication protocols via Ethernet

·         Expertise & experience in firmware development and testing practices.

·         Expertise & experience in C/C++

·         Expert knowledge in the design and implementation of real time, SoC based firmware

·         Expertise & experience with Xilinx Zynq 7000 line of SoC

·         Working knowledge & experience with version management software, preferably Tortoise SVN repository tool

·         Working knowledge & experience in MS Office suite, MS Project, MS Visio.

·         Ability to lead small (1 to 4) teams

·         Must have good communication skills required to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

·         Must have excellent writing communication and documentation skills to generate the required software design documents
